The First Improvemement

Synthetic lubricants are the FIRST improvement in automotive lubricants since the invention of detergent oils in the fifties. Many people are afraid to use them because of the false claims that were made about them when they first came out. And some people are STILL repeating these lies while Ams/Oil is helping many race drivers, motorcycle racers, and boat racers to win numerous championships, including NATIONAL championships. Yes, there is a little higher investment per quart for Ams/Oil, but more important is the COST PER MILE for a user of Ams/Oil. No other synthetic (para-synthetics, whatever they claim) can give you 25,000 miles in a year without an oil change. Ams/Oil “clings” to the parts, completely ELIMINATING “dry starts,” the thing that causes MOST of the wear in your engine.

Synthetics have been in use in the space program everywhere, since they can be TAILORED to withstand ANY degree of heat or cold. Only the cost changes. In the space program, some of their synthetics cost $25,000 an OUNCE. You can make it to withstand ANYTHING. But Al Amatuzio created an oil that was economically feasible in automotive use and proved to the world it could be done. Now EVERY oil company now has a “para-synthetic” (PARTIAL synthetic) in their line. Many CALL theirs FULL synthetics, but most are not. The way to tell is how many miles they recommend between oil changes. Ams/Oil says 25,000 miles. Most others can only claim a maximum of 15,000 miles between oil changes. If you want to take advantage of this singular achievement in lubrication technology, start using Ams/Oil. (Just common sense)

Ams/Oil Ad Campaign

There’s an AmsOil campaign running now and they’re all over the Internet. But it’s probably not doing them a lot of good because it says NOTHING about the benefits you can derive from using Ams/Oil, which is the ONLY improvement in automotive lubrication since the invention of detergent oil back in the fifties. They were the INVENTORS of the FIRST viable synthetic oil back for automotive use in the seventies and were immediately copied by a major fossil oil dealer who came out with a SEMI-synthetic that was not even compatible with fossil oils in the first few years. They DID finally “wise up” and reformulate it, and it is now compatible with fossil oils so they don’t have to “steam clean” their engines in order to use it. It’s a decent oil and, due to their massive ad budget they sell more than Ams/Oil does with their Amway-style marketing plan.

But it’s still a SEMI-synthetic and the MOST mileage they can get out of it is 15,000 miles without an oil change, while Ams/Oil IS a FULL synthetic capable of giving you 25,000 miles without an oil change. Now AmsOil proved it could be done, every fossil oil company now has a “PARA-synthetic in its line. All (including the first copier) claim to be FULL synthetic. But you can tell which ones (if any ) ARE by the number of miles they can claim without an oil change. That saves you a lot of money and time. Add to that NO “cold start” in winter and NO “dry starts at any time because AmsOil CLINGS to the parts. It does not fall back into the crankcase as fossil oils do. "Dry starts” cause most of the wear in any engine. Your engine runs cooler and the very “extra slipperiness” of the oil makes it last about 50% longer. NO “vapor locks” due to hot weather in the summer. All in all, you save a LOT of money using any synthetic oil, but Ams/Oil has more than 30 years “head start” in terms of research and development than any of them. Ams/Oil was born because a jet pilot saw the oil that was used in his jets and figured he could come up with a synthetic for autos. So he went to work and did it.

Yes, it IS higher priced on a PER QUART basis. But as long as it lasts, the only important figure is PER MILE, per quart. You actually SAVE money by using oil that has a higher investment PER QUART. Since it’s the first improvement in automotive lubricant technology since detergent oil and you use significantly FEWER quarts in a year.. And it IS proven by use in many racing applications, including former ASA champion Dave Watson, Ams/Oil's former team driver, and Bobby Unser, who used it “on the sly” while being sponsored by another oil company. Then there’s “the Old man,” Mark Martin, who used it to win at least TWO national championships and many races that I know of. He’s getting “up there” now, but is still a threat to win any time he enters a race. Currently, AmsOil is in regular use in motorcycle and boat racing, and has helped many drivers win many championships and lots of races. The point is, if you want superior performance in your car and want it to last longer, while costing you less, move up to Ams/Oil. Other brands are okay, but Ams/Oil is the best, because they did it FIRST. And they sell MILLIONS of dollars’ worth every year. (Ray Thomas))

Happy Fourth!

Well, we’ve reached another Fourth of July. But how much longer will we be “allowed” to celebrate this important date in our history with such as Obama in power? He has already stated his opinion that “we didn’t need a revolution” to get free of England. What kind of STUPID PILLS has he been taking? Anyway, let’s celebrate it as long as we can. I’m taking the day off. You’ve probably noticed that I’m now posting 7 days a week and in FOUR blogs instead of three. That’s because I’m no longer able to do the job I was paid to do and had to quit. Now ALL my work is FREE. You can find my books on Amazon or Barnes & Noble. I may even write another one. I know I don't post too often here, but SIX blogs is a lot. This blog is about the incredible improvement synthetic oil is over conventional oils, and there's only so much I can write that is not repetitive on that subject. Suffice it to say, it is the first MAJOR improvement over conventional oils and if you're not using it, it's YOUR loss. The reason it's so much better is that it's a superior "friction reducer" in your engine and FRICTION is the reason for ALL wear. That makes your engine run better, cooler, and longer and results in saving a LOT of money for you.

Beating It to Death

I know the mass shooting in Connecticut is a major tragedy, having ended so many lives, particularly of those small children who can’t have done ANYTHING to have hurt the shooter. But, as with the Columbine shooting and all the others, the news media “beats it to death” until we are TIRED of hearing about every belch uttered by ANYBODY that has ANY connection to the shootings. Three days after the Connecticut shooting (as this is written), I STILL can’t avoid more and more stories about really tiny things connected with it on every station I turn to. It’s disgusting. It’s as if there isn’t any other news in the world. Some of those shooters do it for the notoriety involved, and the fact that the media "beats it to death" makes them very happy. It's now Christmas day and there have been several more mass shootings since, including the one in New York, where a guy set a house on fire to draw firemen, then opened fire on them, killing two, before he killed himself and most likely his own sister, as well. I don't know who he is, and I don't care. On that somber note, I want to wish everybody a MERRY CHRISTMAS! None of that "Happy Holidays" crap here. Any celebration of the birthday of Jesus Christ ought to carry His name, whether you believe or not. This will be the only post today, as I celebrate Christmas with my family. (Just common sense)

Ending With A Big Lie

Obama has ended his presidential re-election campaign with one of the biggest LIES I’ve ever heard him tell. We all know he has spent more money than there IS and gotten nothing for it. That our unemployment numbers are as high as they’ve EVER been; that MILLIONS are out of work and are losing their cars, houses, and other things that are important to them: that the real estate market is DOWN; people are SUFFERING from the effect of his ignorant policies and he DID NOT "save" the auto industry. GM is still on the brink of bankruptcy He says he created 5 MILLION jobs. WHERE? WHEN? That might sound good when he says it, but it's not enough to even KEEP UP with the birth rate. That in the midst of a big oil crisis, he has made policies GUARANTEEING we will be dependent on people who HATE us for our oil, for years to come. Then he runs an ad saying, “We’ve tried our way and it has worked!” WORKED? When and WHERE? I haven’t seen a single idea he’s tried that worked (If anybody can show me one I’ll be grateful). “We tried their way and it DIDN’T work.” WHEN and WHERE did they EVER “try their way? He shut Republicans OUT  of every important decision. He says, “We won two wars in the Middle East.” WHEN? WHERE? We RAN from both Iran and Afghanistan! Then he said, “We brought our troops home.” Right; we did it by “running for the hills” while the terrorists were blowing up our consulate and MURDERING our diplomats. Obama LIES bigger and bigger every day. I thought he was a FOOL when he claimed to be able to “lower the sea level,” but nobody ever took that seriously. I’ll tell you what, folks’ if you give him another four years to screw us even more, you’re FOOLS and deserve the biggest FOOL to ever occupy the White House and what that will bring you.. Synthetics Reduce Friction

Synthetic oil is the FIRST improvement in lubrication for the automobile since cleaning additives. It simply reduces the FRICTION that is the ENEMY of movement. That friction is the CAUSE of ALL wear in your engine and inhibits its performance. All synthetic oil will reduce friction, but there is only ONE “full synthetic” on the market today, that reduces it better. Some CLAIM to be “full synthetics,” but notice nobody will offer you an oil that will perform for you for 25,000 miles, but AmsOil. All they can offer is up to 15,000 miles. That’s the key. The rest of them are simply PARA synthetics. That means they only have SOME synthetics in their FOSSIL oil. AmsOil has THIRTY YEARS headstart on every synthetic now on the market (except the one that copied them within two years of the introduction of AmsOil to the automotive market.

The reason AmsOil works better than all the others is it IS a “full synthetic” and reduces friction to a higher degree than the others because it IS a “full synthetic.” AmsOil’s synthetic oil is “the FUTURE of lubrication.” It might take a few years for everybody to realize it, but one day NOBODY will use “fossil oil” in their engine, or anything else. You need to “get on the bandwagon.” Just CHANGING to AmsOil saves you about $200 (a year) the year you change (4 or 5 quarts and two filters vs. 40 quarts and 8 filters in 25,000 miles), plus all the other savings you get with synthetic oil including improved mileage (important with toady’s high gasoline prices), longer engine life, and easier starts (NO “dry starts,” ever because synthetic oil “clings” to engine parts). AmsOil use allows “dead of winter starts) like in summer and NO “vapor locks” in summer). (Just common sense)

Misplaced Priorities

Many Americans claim they have “other priorities” than keeping track of what their politicians are doing to them. Many keep track of EVERY MOVE of their favorite football or basketball player. They know how many times that player has the ball in his hands and what he does with it each time and they can recite the figures to you ad nauseum from memory,. But they don’t have time to know what their politicians are doing to them. Thus, those politicians are screwing them royally every day and these Americans don’t even know it. So they vote those politicians back into office, time and time again and wonder why their money is worth less every day. They wonder why their “tax bite” is getting bigger and bigger every year as politicians tax them more and more to pay for their “giveaway programs.” They wonder why they can't seem to do ANYTHING these days without going to a bureaucrat, "hat in hand," and ask permission to do things they have always had the RIGHT to do without question.

My own SON is more interested in how many bucks he can make than in what Obama does to him with his socialistic policies (which is okay, but he should do both). We have the opportunity tomorrow to do what the Russian people DIDN’T do when Vladmir Lenin was solidifying his power. We can vote Barack Obama OUT and GET RID of him. Will we? Only time will tell. But if we vote to keep our own “Vladmir Lenin” in office tomorrow, how many years will we have to suffer under a socialist government that sucks all that is good out of us as the Russian people have suffered under 75 years of a socialist (Union of Soviet SOCIALIST Republics) government that remains until this day SUPPOSEDLY under a “no longer communist government” with the SAME PEOPLE running things now as then who SAY “they’re no longer communists.”

We need to WAKE UP and get these socialists (Democrats) out of office and take our country BACK from those who would ENSLAVE us. THINK, people! Do you WANT a socialist government that sucks the good out of every man and woman who becomes  dependent on government for their very daily bread and thus MUST “follow orders” as to how to live their lives? Do you WANT to have to live life as some nameless, faceless bureaucrat tells you to live it? Or do you want to be free to make your own decisions and have the INCENTIVE to do your best? Socialism DESTROYS incentive because who wants to work for anything if the GOVERNMENT will take it away from them to pay for somebody else's needs? The only problem is, it only "takes care of them" at a SUBSISTENCE level. All while those who are still able and WILLING to WORK under these conditions pay the bills (as long as they continue to work under a system that robs them). Soon they will figure out that they are BEING suckered and robbed and will join the ranks of those wanting the GOVERNMENT to "take care of them" and there will BE no money for the GOVERNMENT to use to pay the bills for everybody. The Standard to Which All Others Are Judged

That’s what Bobby Unser (3-time Indy 500 Winner driving for another oil company) says, anyway: "AMSOIL is the Best Lubricant made, the Standard to which all others are judged," Some people like to say other oils are at least as good, but they’re not. AmsOil has at least 30 years head start on all but one oil company in terms of research and development (That company was three years behind AmsOil in entering the synthetic oil market), and THAT company's oils, regardless of the claims in their cleverly-worded advertising, are not better than AmsOil, even if they DO sell more because of their massive advertising budget and clever copywriters. They SAY “Nobody Outperforms Our Oils,” and that might be true, but that’s awfully hard to prove without using both oils in a controlled test which has not, as far as I know, yet been performed. And won't be. They’re cleverly NOT saying “our oil is the best.” Just that “nobody is better.” Which, again, cannon be proved without a detailed scientific study. Don’t go by the info in my “lubedealers.com” web site. That site is abandoned and can’t be changed. Go to raythomas101.com and use the address and phone number shown elsewhere in that site. What People Say About Ams/Oil

“Amsoil is a name well known amongst automotive and motor sports enthusiasts; however, what many people don’t realize is that Amsoil is also a long standing direct selling company. The company was founded by Albert Amatuzio, a Lt. Colonel and jet figher pilot in the Air Force. Amatuzio recognized the important role synthetic lubrication played in keeping a high performance, million dollar jet fighter in the air. Knowing that these same properties would be invaluable in automotive applications, Amatuzio set out to create a synthetic formulation for automobiles. He launched his first commercially sold product in 1970, which led to the creation of the Amsoil company. In 1972 Amsoil became the first synthetic motor oil to achieve American Petroleum Institute specifications. (Network Marketing Online)

Merry Christmas Again!

You can’t say it often enough. I said it the other day, and now I say it again. “The PC Police” can take it and stick it. This day is dedicated to the birth of Jesus Christ, whether or not you believe in him. It’s the religion of Christians, and reference to it should NEVER “offend” anyone. I am not offended by reference to the symbols of other religions, and I should not be. And members of other religions should not be “offended” by references to someone else’s. Especially Muslims, whose “Holy Book” tells them to KILL anybody who does not believe exactly the same way they do. Today’s Christianity does not, even if they can find an obscure passage in the Old Testament that might be read in such a way that some people might think it does. In any case, it is not a “guiding principle” to Christians. Some non-Christians seem to think they can stop Christians from making reference to their religion by wishing people “Merry Christmas” on this day. They’re wrong, even if some liberal courts disagree. They misread the Constitution to say that government and religion should be separate. That’s wrong. There is NOTHING in the Constitution saying that. So I say again, “Merry Christmas to all!” No matter what your religion. This will be the only post today, as I will be spending time with my family. (Just common sense)

Merry Christmas Everybody!

Some people are “offended” by the words, “Merry Christmas." They can go to hell. I will not accede to the demands of the “PC Police” and say “Happy Holidays” instead of “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.” Why should I care if atheists, some Jews, Islamics, and followers of other religions don’t like it when I wish them a Merry Christmas? This is a country FOUNDED by Christians and, in which most powerful posts are still held by people who at least SAY they’re Christians. If that offends some people, too bad! I don’t care. Most Jews don’t “get offended” by it, and they don’t try and kill Christianity in a Christian country. So I say, “Merry Christmas,” people, and anybody who gets “offended” by this can go to hell. What's Stopping You?

Synthetic oil is the FIRST improvement over fossil oil, EVER. It costs you less PER MILE than does fossil oil if you can bring yourself to ignore the “3,000 Mile Oil Change Myth” fossil oil makers promote and not change your oil for 25,000 miles. It won’t hurt your car, and AmsOil has an insurance policy to buy you a new engine if our oil ever does (They’ve never had to pay a claim). Unlike fossil oil, it clings to the parts so there’s NEVER a “dry start” at ANY time of the year (dry starts are the biggest factor in engine wear). Your car starts like in summer in the dead of winter because synthetic oil doesn’t “gum up” at below zero temps like fossil oil. That’s easier on your battery and IT lasts longer.

Neither does it “vapor lock” in hot summer because it has a much wider temperature range in which it can operate (minus 60 to plus 430 degrees). With its “super slipperiness, there is less RESISTANCE to movement with it, meaning your engine does more work with less effort. This makes your car’s engine last about 50% longer and with less gasoline use. So what’s stopping you from using it? AmsOil is the FIRST viable synthetic oil for automotive use. It was invented by a jet pilot who saw no reason it couldn’t work. It did. We proved we COULD market a synthetic oil, so now EVERYBODY has an oil they CALL a “synthetic” in their line. But we have 30 years headstart on ALL of them in terms of research and development

We had the FIRST synthetic transmission fluid. Nobody, not even the one that claims to be “the oil that changed oil” can claim more than 7,500 miles, which tells me it’s only a semi-synthetic. AmsOil IS “the oil that changed oil.” There’s no reason why you SHOULDN’T use this oil. So why are you waiting? It is only about a $50 investment to change over and that lasts you 25,000 miles. I’ve been driving a 14-year-old car that has never let me down because of a lubrication problem until another driver killed it by making an illegal left turn in front of me. That car has never had a quart of fossil oil in it since I’ve owned it, and that is since it was five years old. (Just common sense)

Best for Fleets

Mercy Regional Ambulance Service in Benton, Illinois has 22 ambulances and 6 cars. They need to be "ready to roll" at a moment's notice, no matter what the weather. Before they switched to AmsOil synthetic oil, it took their chief mechanic a lot of time every month to keep them running. "These engines, especially the 6.0 liter, are prone to injector problems along with EGR valve problems." About a year ago they switched to AmsOil synthetic lubricants and Dustin Larkin (their chief mechanic) says "My expenses on parts are down 70% from 2007 and overall downtime is down 80%!" In 2007, Larkin changed a total of 85 injectors on the ambulances. He also had to change at least four injectors per unit. Each ambulance averages 100,000 miles per year. Two 2006 models have more than 250,000 miles on them. Larkin said, "Sometimes ambulances run three or four days without shutoff in real hot or cold weather. That's hard on any equipment." They now change oil at 20,000 miles and have had to change only TWO injectors in the last 10 months. That's a hefty savings for any fleet. Using synthetic lubricants can mean a similar savings for ANY fleet, or any private vehicle. The savings on just the cost of the oil and filters alone can be $250 a vehicle per year when you look at it as "cost per mile," rather than cost per quart. That's the difference between 40 quarts of fossil oil and 8 filters (if you change oil every 3,000 miles) and four or five quarts of synthetic oil (depending on your engine capacity) and two filters (the first fill requires a filter change because synthetic oil cleans out the engine very quickly). (Source: Action News)

Synthetic Oil Myths

There are many myths being told yet about synthetic oil, mostly by makers of fossil oil, and repeated by mechanics and others who do not know what they're talking about. They just accept what they're told at face value and pass it along, with nothing behind it except the lies being told about synthetic oil to keep people from changing over, which would seriously reduce their business if it happened. Every time I talk to someone about changing to synthetic oil I hear again one of these "old saws," none of which are true. Now I hear about one oil company, one which copied the "leader" in synthetic the originator of synthetic lubricants for automotive use), CLAIMING to be selling "pure synthetic oils. They have three levels: one that claims 5,000 miles, the next claming 7,500 miles, and the third claiming 15,000 mile drain periods. What they really are is "para-synthetics ("synthetic blends") and don't dare claim the 25,000 miles you get from the leader. This article contains just a few of the more popular myths (lies) about synthetic oil. (Ray Thomas 101)

The "3,000 Mile Myth"

How many times have you been told to "change your oil every 3,000 miles' with the unsaid threat that something bad might happen to your engine if you don't? That's what I've heard all my life, but I've never done it. And nothing bad ever happened to my engine because of poor lubrication. So why should I do it? Because "conventional wisdom" says I must. Unfortunately, "conventional wisdom" is usually wrong. The "3,000 mile myth" is a scam to increase sales of oil. That's it. The California Waste Management Board has launched a campaign to "Break the 3,000 mile myth, (Ray Thomas 101)

Your Car Can Last Longer

The biggest problem you have in driving your car around is friction. See the article about that on this blog. Synthetic oil significantly reduces friction in addition to giving you better gas mileage, fewer oil changes, NO "dry starts" ever (because synthetic oil "clings" to engine parts rather than falling down into the oil pan as fossil oils do. It starts as easily on the coldest winter days as in summer because it does not "gum up" at below zero temperatures as "fossil oils" do. It's liquid down to 60 below and up to 410 degrees hot. So no "vapor locks," either. Rocket ships and jet planes can't operate without synthetic oil because of the wide range of temperatures they must withstand. Fossil oils can't do that. If you could do ONE thing to save hundreds, even thousands of dollars on car maintenance while making it last longer and make fewer trips to the mechanic; it would be to convert to synthetic oil. But not just any oil. Other oils would be better than fossil oils, but AmsOil is the ORIGINAL synthetic lubricant for automotive use. Now that AmsOil proved it could be done, EVERYBODY has an oil out they call "synthetic." But so far, none are "pure" synthetic. The best they have done is a "para-synthetic" good for about 15,000 miles. Pure synthetic can be identified by the 25,000 miles between oil changes promise. AmsOil has more than 30 years "head start on the others in research and development.

A Good Thing to Have Around

Synthetic oil products are a lot more handy to have around than you'd expect. One time I flooded out under a railroad bridge. I climbed out, opened my hood, and sprayed "MP" (AmsOil Metal Protector) into the distributor cap and watched the water crawl away. Then I got back in and drove away. Another time I left a wrench on the ground in the back yard while working on my AmsOil race car. It stayed out there all winter and I didn't find it until spring. It was unrusted and in good condition because I had sprayed it with "MP" before I started using it. I keep one spray can of MP in the car and one at home. Any time anything starts moving roughly, I spray it with MP and have no more trouble. When I first bought my present car, the driver's door lock was "sticky." It was hard to open or close. I gave it a spritz of MP and never had another minute's trouble. Same with the lock on the front door of our new house. MP is less that $5, and I've used it a lot. (AmsOil Dealer)

...And in the Hot Country, Too

Below is an item about AmsOil's racing team dominating in the "cold country." Synthetic lubricants work superlatively down in Florida, too. Maybe it's some "left-over" advantage AmsOil gets from MP (Metal Protector), a top selling AmsOil product (It does the same as other light oils, but does it better and it is also an excellent metal protector). The picture above shows one of the Team AmsOil boats winning a race. But they weren't finished winning. "The POPRA races were held on were combined to determine the final finish positions. During Wednesday's race, Team AmsOil dominated on the 6.8-mile, rough water course, winning in the P-1 class and the overall. (There were three classes racing on the course at the same time.) The next POPRA race was held on Saturday on a smaller, 4.8-mile course that featured tighter turns. Team AmsOil once again dominated the P-1 class and the overall. The two first place finishes established Team AmsOil as the POPRA World Champion in the P-1 class."

"Sno-X" Knows Synthetic Oil

They know all about synthetic oil up in the "cold country," the area for which synthetic lubricants were invented. Temps in the "North country" reach levels that fossil oils can't withstand, just as they do in outer space or in the upper atmosphere where jets operate. You can make a synthetic that will withstand ANY temperature. It just takes money. That used by jets and rockets in outer space can cost as much as $25,000 an ounce! It doesn't take that much for automotive uses, even in "cold country." But this article in "Snow-X" should end any discussion over whether or not they work. "Less than five days before the start of the 16th Annual AMSOIL Duluth National Snocross, the pre-season press got things right when it comes to expecting a banner year from Team AMSOIL. The November 2007 issue of Sno-X Magazine arrived in mail boxes just five days before the start of 2007-2008 World PowerSports Association’s season opener in Duluth, Minn. Gracing the cover was Team AMSOIL/Scheuring Speed Sports veteran rider Dennis 'D.J.' Eckstrom. Eckstrom, a two-time winner of the AMSOIL Duluth National, was highlighted by the caption: 'D.J. Eckstrom: Ready to take the points in 2008.' Team owner Steve Scheuring is also featured inside the magazine with a Q&A section, as well as his monthly 'The Original Independent' article. A Self-Created "Problem"

Should we "shy away" from nuclear power as a means toward "clean energy?" Not according to those who study this phenomena. According to the experts, we are exposed to more radiation using "coal-fired" power production than from nuclear power production. Environmentalists have made much about "Three-Mile Island" and "Chernobyl," but the truth is, there has been NO "nuclear accident" in THIS COUNTRY that has injured or killed a single soul. and that includes "Three-Mile Island." You may say, "He markets synthetic oil so why should I believe him?" Actually, I don't care where you get your synthetic oil. Just use it. Most of that on the market today is "partial synthetic," but any synthetic usage will help, not only you, but our dependence on foreign oil, too. AmsOil has thirty years head start on research and development, but there are many other brands out there you can use. I'd like for you to use AmsOil, but whatever brand you use, just USE it. You'll save money while you're helping reduce our dependence on foreign oil, most of which is coming from our enemies. (Ray Thomas 101,)
